Infiltration - Dunkelschwamm
Here's a novel concept, stealth in Sven Co-op. Players are supposed to reach the end of the map without being seen. There isn't really a penalty for being seen.

Infiltration is a confusing map. It describes itself as one where you need to get in without being seen, but you spawn in the line of grunts' vision from windows in a building you must break the glass of to get inside (except you don't, because the grunts will most certainly break it first). My buddy and I used the crossbow at spawn with its respawning ammo to take everyone out. From there, you go down a series of pitch-black hallways fighting grunts and assassins and encountering way over-scaled furniture. After a hall that curves with a window in its side, the map ends.
I don't understand where in that mixture you're supposed to sneak anywhere. This is like telling somebody to be sneaky then placing them right before the open eyes of their enemy and throwing them down on a bed of cymbals.
But, if I were to ignore its failures as a stealth map and rank it as an action map, I'd say it's particularly bland and uninteresting. There's a surreality to the oversized tables, chairs, and stairs that probably wasn't intended but is appreciated. Still, this feels like somebody uploaded a learning exercise.
It was dirt easy with two players and was over in a minute or two with us bumbling our way through and waiting for ammo respawns. Can't imagine why I would recommend.
Pros:
- It's fun to gib soldiers and assassins with the exploding crossbow, and that's most of what I did in this map.
- Some (likely unintentional) surreality
Cons:
- Spawn in the line of fire
- The stated intent of this being a stealth map comes across as comical
- At some point the map becomes dark and unlit, which is a hinderance to the player but not to the enemies
- Abrupt ending
- Generally amateurishly made
Score: 2.3 / 10
