Frogger - Dunkelschwamm

Old school classic Frogger, hop across the freeway and a river to reach some buttons, press them all to go to the next round. Any misstep and you will die horribly. SCMapDB page Author: LentoMan Date of release: 2004 Maps in package: 1 Map review of Frogger (originally posted on SCMapDB) by dunkelschwamm | March 18, 2023 | 3162 characters      Frogger is a 3-tiered arcade "puzzle" "skill" game map for Sven Co-op.      The setup is simple: run past 4 lanes of speeding cars, reach the dock, then jump across 4 lanes of giant logs in quick-kill water to 4 button alcoves. Hit the button, get killed, start over, hit all the buttons, end the round. The next round is more complicated: the second round adds invincible turrets which the players must distract using the hivehand- really creative! The third round adds an RPG to explode the turrets, shortly followed by a crossbow to sniperfight snipers who appear in the button alcoves. With that completed, the m

That map was duck hunt fused with frogger, but this map is all frogger.      Players have to traverse a very busy and deadly street and then jump across logs in a poison river and jump into alcoves to press buttons. Pressing all four buttons ends the round and there are three rounds. Turrets and weapons start appearing in round 2 and the map gets quite difficult. I had racked up about 60 deaths myself from just running into traffic and hails of gunfire. The map uses a clever mechanic where turrets will shoot at bees f

Big Room Guy 2 - Dunkelschwamm

This map is a nightclub that is locked up tight unless somebody goes through the secret way in and mans the ticket booth. The map has a dance floor with limited music mixing and a few other things. SCMapDB page Author: Unknown Date of final release: 2002 Maps in package: 1 Map review of Big Room Guy 2 (originally posted on SCMapDB) by dunkelschwamm | October 27, 2022 | 3454 characters      Big Room Guy 2 is a party server map, complete with secret VIP passages and a barrier to entry to ensure exclusivity.      The map is a very simple club. Players enter into a queue at a gate and a person behind a ticket booth opens and closes it for them. This does have to a player operating the booth from the other side, and the inside of the booth is only accessible from the admin room, so knowledge on how to enter the secret admin room from the waiting area is necessary before the map can really begin. So, I'm going to disclose that here- there is a secret non-tangible wall you can walk

Just inside the door is a line for a ticket booth, we can't jump over the ropes or the gate, we are trapped. So I go to the comments to see what's up and here is BlueSpark to the rescue. I can't explain it any better so I'm just going to copy and paste the whole thing right here: "..It's just rather exclusive! Club goers can only be admitted by the person inside the ticket booth. The booth can only be accessed from the admin room - how do you get into the admin room? Well, in this map not all walls are as soli

Satanic Dark Wrath Castle - Dunkelschwamm

Welcome to the most evil map of Sven Co-op. Enter the big chompy mouth and then attempt to explore. SCMapDB page Author: Robootto Date of final release: 2005 Maps in package: 1 Map review of Satanic Dark Wrath Castle (originally posted on SCMapDB) by dunkelschwamm | October 9, 2022 | 1673 characters      Satanic Dark Wrath Castle is a map by robootto to, I presume, show off some esoteric brushwork ideas. The map begins with the players outside of the titular castle, which is entered either through a chomper trap front door or a higher up entrance that players ascent blocks to reach. Once inside, the map is dark save for some intense colored lighting and some strobes. The inside and the outside of the castle, alike, are mostly nonsensical structures which are a bit interesting to look at, the way geometric shapes tend to be from time to time, but drenched in eye-searing strobe.      Players can find doors that open to the word "Hell" emblazoned on brushwork. Sometimes,

This is definitely the most evil map of all Sven, only a monster would place player weapons individually in vats of opaque water.      Players spawn in a small courtyard, with the aforementioned vats of water each containing a weapon. There are two doors here, one is locked and I don't know how to open it. The other is a mouth with sharp spikes that absolutely will chomp on players attempted to get past it. Fret not because there is a small hole we can reach with

Adam's Puzzles - Dunkelschwamm

There aren't really any puzzles in this map. The map is all about answering trivia questions. Each room has at least four paths to go and only the one labelled with the answer will allow the player through unharmed. SCMapDB page Author: Adambean Date of final release: 2009 Maps in package: 1 Map review of Adam's Puzzles (originally posted on SCMapDB) by dunkelschwamm | January 29, 2022 | 4345 characters      Adam's Puzzles is a cute high-concept server map, where the concept is multiple choice questions. Room after room, players are treated to an interesting vignette setting and a multiple choice question. By choosing one of the doors, you seal your fate- you either chose correctly and continue to the next question, or you chose incorrectly and fall into a certain death trap. It's very straight-forward in its concept. For winning, players are treated to a lounge area with security cameras for watching other players struggle with answers, a swimming pool, a pornog

This map is that concept, but instead of randomly picking a path there are questions the players must answer. The map is called Adam's Puzzles, but its really just Adam's quiz.      Most of the questions could be solved by a quick google, the last question was a large math problem that both my teammate and I agree the correct answer in the map has a typo that makes it incorrect. There was also a q

Indojapan is a strange map where players progress through thematically disconnected rooms in a big loop. It's difficult to tell where the map is supposed to begin and end since players spawn all over the place. This map has an entire section that is just a big ol' strobe with noisy textured walls while attempting to navigate many headcrabs. I have no propensity toward epilepsy and it gave me a headache.     I ndojapan is a Robooto map outside of his typical flavor of utter nonsense and more in line with a secret map. Searching for out-of-place brushes which might be teleports or breakables which are very hard to discern from nonbreakables and have way too much resistance to damage is what makes up the map's gameplay for the most part.      You begin in a sushi

We were pretty fast in deciding to noclip around and see what the whole map looked like. Imagine our surprise when we found a ton of different rooms.      It turns out the map is a bunch of rooms with teleporters in that chain all the rooms together. The sushi bar has a breakable secti

Player speed is so high that the briefest tap on W sends you flying headfirst into the opposite wall. I don't know how but my teammate managed to press the start button. As for me I just could not position myself in front of it. I keep flying into a wall and sliding into the corner. I tired using the button from the side but it just didn't work.      My teammate meanwhile was alone on a very simple floating track. H
