       We've been Captured! Now we must escape the prison with the help of Otis and go to Black Mesa I guess? Players fight from a cell through some wacky N64ish-surreal landscapes against soldiers using some pretty boilerplate weapons.      There isn't much to say here. The map doesn't look great, doing the bare minimum to evoke each environment. The indoor areas benefit best from this, but the more natural environments, as mentioned early, really come across as surreal and wacky. Structures exist with little purpose, with wacky random hazards strewn about. It all serves the function of the gameplay.      To that end, the map isn&

We start with nothing but a medkit and find a crowbar in the jail cell with us and in the next few rooms we find our first enemy, a human grunt, and a pistol with one magazine.      Then we go to the next room with more enemies and more weapons. Right after this room we get our first respawning enemies, I think there are 15 in total but it was really worrying when we didn't know if they were going to end.       Caget is the prototype for another map called CAGED, which if I understand correctly was prototyped in Sven Co-op, made into a mod, and then ported back into Sven Co-op. Regardless of the journey this map has taken, CAGED is now out and is a more complete version of Caget. In that order.      Begin the map in a cage, which players must cooperate to solve a puzzle to break out. From there players use a wrench and their longjump while navigating platforming. Players then spend time with low weaponry dealing with zombies, turrets, and soldiers in cramped tunnels. Finally, players take on soldiers and aliens while making use of a full standard arsenal.      That later third I mentioned is real

Both of these maps are different, and worse, versions of this map. The player must spend an eternity wailing on the counter in order to break it and then go through the vent to freedom. There are Barneys here but they do nothing.        Half-Life: C.A.G.E.D., or just Caged as I will refer to the map from here on, is a standalone Half-Life mod converted to Sven Co-op. It's a prison break themed mod with quite a few maps. The single-player mod is available on Steam and, to be frank and up-front, this is a mod designed to be experienced as a singeplayer mod.      My review of C-A-G-E-D is:      It's a very beautiful mod with some fast-paced action, satisfying combat, tense platforming, and a general feeling that you are attempting to escape from a high-level prison complex. The second map, where actual gameplay starts, has it pretty rough, but overall I think this is one of the better ports and one of the better Sven Co-op maps out there. It definitely can be completed solo, a lot of the time whoever entered a room first would kill everybody inside before the other could do much to help.        POW is a bombastic map, from the crazy map description to the crazy above screenshot. Locked in a futuristic prison, the players must fight their way through guards, mutants, and robots big and small to escape. The map is quick to jump into action, has frenetic gameplay enhanced with easily-gibbed enemies. There are a lot of models here that I recognize from other maps, including the gonome-based licker from one of the Resident

It's a story about friends breaking out of prison together which did indeed set the mood for my friend and I to break out of prison together.      The map is brutal. We both died once before getting out of our cell. There are a lot of enemies and they whittle your health down to nothing fast. There is no health, medkits, or any kind of HEV.      The author really did a good job with updating checkpoints. Dying a lot would be a thousand times more annoying if we had to keep walking long distances. The checkpoint updated ver
